Suggested routes:

Dirfis: Ano Steni – S2 – Rachi Syka – Katafygio – Elatias – S1 – Ano Steni

A very nice, circular and relatively easy route with enough vegetation (firs, chestnuts, oaks). From the stadium of Ano Steni we walk uphill on asphalt for 250 m and turn right on a dirt road that leads to the junction for the paths S2 and S3 (Xerovouni).

We take the left branch following the marking for S2 and after 220 m we cross a stream which we pass by pressing on stones (marginally in winter if there is enough water). After 850 m we meet a dirt road which we cross and continue the ascent opposite, entering the path again. After 870 m we meet a road (asphalt) which we cross and continue the ascent opposite for another 570 m to Rachi Syka (dirt road). Turn left and go up the dirt road, cutting twice to avoid the turns and 1000 m then we reach the shelter of EOS Chalkida.

From the shelter we move southwest to the forest. 840 m then cross a dirt road and continue. 870 m then we ignore a sharp left turn (position of Elatia) and continue straight for another 8 m at an intersection where we turn left. 250 m after the dirt road becomes a path and we follow the signs. 260 m then we reach a sinkhole (attention!) And continue following the signs. 550 m then cross a dirt road and continue opposite. 170 m then we reach the source Sykamino (rubber through a rock). We continue the descent and after 1170 m we cross a dirt road. 210 m then we reach back to the stadium of Ano Steni.
